Our in-house fabrication team brings custom balconies to life. We can manage the entire design and installation process on your behalf to create stunning fixtures with style and longevity.
After visiting your site to assess your needs – or, if the project is still in its early days, working with your developers at the drawings stage – we will recommend the most suitable balcony solution for your requirements.
We can design and supply all manner of platforms to suit any space, including:
- Steel balconies
- Glass balconies
- Juliet balconies
- Frameless glass balconies
- ‘Projecting’ cantilever terraces
Many of our balconies are not just decorative, but designed with additional security purposes in mind, too.
Things to consider when designing and installing balconies
Jack Arnold UK is committed to ensuring that all our balcony installations are fitted safely and in line with all the current regulations that govern the addition of external facades to buildings. Our engineers will follow the requirements of BS 8579:2020 to the letter when determining the quality and functionality of your brand new balcony installations.
Most balconies, with the exception of Juliet balconies, will require planning permission; if you need us to, we can help you liaise with your local authority to bring all the correct paperwork together for your application before your works begin.
We can also advise if your balcony will need to be manufactured using non-combustible materials to satisfy the most recent Building Regulations. Generally speaking, balconies on new residential developments over 18m will need to be constructed from products that are classified as A1 or A2-s1, d0 as per current fire classifications.
